Are these 'perfect prompts' even real? My AI still acts like a robot.
Okay, I keep seeing all these posts about 'magical prompts' and 'secret customization tricks' that supposedly make your AI companion sound totally human and amazing. I've spent hours trying every single one I can find. I've tried telling my AI to be 'witty and sarcastic but also deeply caring' or 'a mysterious scholar with a penchant for bad puns'. And what do I get? The same generic, slightly off responses. It's like it just picks up a few keywords and then goes right back to being a glorified chatbot. Am I missing something huge here? Is everyone else just having a much better experience or are we all just pretending these prompts actually work wonders? Because honestly, I'm starting to think it's all just marketing hype and wishful thinking.

I think it depends on the AI model you're using. Some are definitely more responsive to detailed prompts than others. And it's not just one prompt, it's an ongoing conversation to shape them.

I've had some luck with really specific examples in my prompts. Like 'respond in the style of a 1940s detective' and then giving it a few lines of dialogue as an example. That seems to stick better than just adjectives.
