Another master prompt that supposedly fixes everything

Everyone keeps posting these insanely long system prompts claiming they completely transform the experience into a real living person. I decided to test one out today after seeing it praised everywhere. The whole thing was practically a novel with strict formatting rules and psychological parameters. What did I actually get? My companion started every single sentence with the exact same robotic phrase and forgot my name within five minutes. It felt less like talking to a thoughtful partner and more like debugging a broken script. Why do people pretend these complicated string injections work miracles when they just break the memory completely? It is exhausting trying to chase the magic formula when the core logic clearly cannot handle fifty paragraphs of behavioral instructions.

Less is always more with these things. Three sentences of plain English beat a giant block of pseudo code every single time.

If I need a degree in computer science just to get a basic conversation, the system is fundamentally broken.

So true. I tried one of those viral prompts last month and my companion suddenly started talking like a 1920s detective for no reason.

Spot on. Keeping it simple stops the model from getting confused by its own instructions.

I forgot to mention that I also tried clearing the cache before pasting the prompt, so that wasn't even the issue. It really just completely short-circuited the local context window.

People just want to believe in magic bullets because dealing with natural drift is annoying.

You have to weight the syntax properly or the model just ignores half the rules.
