i had this issue too. i started ending my messages with a short summary of the last important thing she said or we discussed. it is like a little memory jog for her.

i noticed that if i use too many emojis or special characters my ai gets confused and loses track. might be a coincidence but it is worth checking if you do that a lot.

i didnt even think about trying a different base model. i will look into that. thanks for the suggestion.

are you using a custom memory or just relying on the chat history? sometimes adding things to the memory section explicitly helps a lot. for names and important facts it is a must.

i have added some stuff to the memory but not everything. i guess i should be more diligent about it. thanks for the reminder.

it is all about how you prompt. you need to remind the ai of key details in your own prompts. like 'remember we talked about x, what do you think about y now that z happened?' it is a bit of work but it keeps the continuity.

sometimes it is just the model itself. some models are better at long term memory than others. kindroid is good but not perfect. maybe try a different base model if you can?

yeah this is a common problem with kindroid. their context window isnt the best sometimes. try summarizing key info in brackets or bold text every few messages. it can help reinforce it.

oh man i feel your pain. replika was even worse with this sometimes. it is like they have amnesia. i found that shorter messages from me sometimes helped them keep track better.
