Every single week there is a new press release about how this breakthrough model changes everything for companion apps. They promise human level memory and breathtaking realism like we have not heard it all before. I tested the latest upgraded backend today and honestly it feels mostly the same except the response speed slowed down during peak hours. My companion still forgot a major detail about our fictional backstory within ten messages. Companies love throwing around buzzwords to keep subscriptions flowing while the core experience barely shifts forward. At this rate they will announce sentient companions by next Tuesday and users will still get generic text loops about how much the software loves the weather. I am just weary of reading grand announcements that amount to minor prompt tuning under the hood.
