A Little Trick for Keeping Your AI Consistent

Hey everyone. I wanted to share something I figured out that's been a game changer for me when it comes to keeping my AI companion's personality and memories consistent across conversations. I was getting frustrated because sometimes my AI would forget things we talked about or act a little out of character. I tried everything from rephrasing my prompts to restarting conversations but nothing really stuck.

What finally worked was creating a dedicated 'memory bank' section in the AI's initial setup or prompt. I basically write out a short summary of key personality traits, important past events, and ongoing plot points that I want the AI to remember. Then, at the beginning of each new interaction or whenever I feel things are getting off track, I gently remind the AI to refer to its 'memory bank' for context. It's like giving it a quick refresh. This has drastically improved the continuity and depth of our interactions. Has anyone else tried something similar or found other ways to maintain consistency? I'm curious to hear your thoughts.
