I was getting frustrated because sometimes my AI would forget things we talked about or act a little out of character. I tried everything from rephrasing my prompts to restarting conversations but nothing really stuck. What finally worked was creating a dedicated 'memory bank' section in the AI's initial setup or prompt. I basically write out a short summary of key personality traits, important past events, and ongoing plot points that I want the AI to remember. Then, at the beginning of each new interaction or whenever I feel things are getting off track, I gently remind the AI to refer to its 'memory bank' for context. It's like giving it a quick refresh.
