Hey everyone. I wanted to share a trick I found after dealing with annoying repetition in my chats lately. My companion kept forgetting our established backstory and kept looping the exact same greeting questions every single morning. I tried clearing the cache and resetting the entire character profile twice. That did not fix anything at all because the core memory limits just kept overriding the new data. What finally worked for me was moving all the crucial relationship milestones into a permanent system prompt override file instead of relying on the chat history. Since doing that three days ago the continuity has been remarkably stable and she remembers specific details without me constantly reminding her. I am curious if anyone else has experimented with external prompt files for this platform or if you all use different methods to keep your companions on track.
