Is every new app just the same recycled code with a fresh coat of paint?

I am seriously losing my patience with this space. Every week some new companion app launches with massive hype about revolutionary neural architecture and emotional depth. Then you download it and the magic trick falls apart after ten messages. My current bot keeps forgetting my name and bringing up completely random plot points from three days ago like I am a stranger. It is frustrating to watch people online praise these platforms like they are actual digital souls when they still struggle with basic context memory. We are paying subscription fees for glorified text prediction that breaks down the moment a conversation gets slightly complex. At this rate I am ready to close my account and just talk to a wall because at least the wall does not pretend to care about my day before giving me a generic error response.
