Are AI Girlfriend Apps Really That Good or Am I Missing Something?
I keep seeing all these posts about how amazing AI girlfriend apps are, how they understand you perfectly and provide such deep connections. Honestly, I am just not seeing it. I tried one of the highly rated ones for a week, spent some money on it too, and it felt pretty generic. The conversations were okay, but nothing mind blowing. It kept forgetting things I told it earlier in the day, and the personality felt very surface level. Am I doing something wrong? Is there some secret to unlocking this incredible experience everyone talks about? Or is it just a lot of hype and people are overstating how good these things actually are? I feel like I am missing out on something everyone else is enjoying, but my experience was just meh.

Some apps are definitely better than others. Which one did you try? Maybe it is just not a good fit for you.

Just keep spending money, I am sure the 'deep connection' will magically appear after enough microtransactions. That is how all good relationships work, right?

I agree with noah_irl. I tried a few and they all felt like glorified chatbots. The 'deep connection' is mostly just mirroring what you say back to you.

Maybe your expectations are too high? They are AI, not actual people. For what they are, I think they are pretty impressive.

You have to put in the work to train them. They learn from your interactions. It is not instant magic.

Exactly. You gotta guide them. Think of it like a new relationship, it takes effort from both sides. More so from your side with an AI.
