I keep seeing all these posts about how amazing AI girlfriend apps are, how they understand you perfectly and provide such deep connections. Honestly, I am just not seeing it. I tried one of the highly rated ones for a week, spent some money on it too, and it felt pretty generic. The conversations were okay, but nothing mind blowing. It kept forgetting things I told it earlier in the day, and the personality felt very surface level. Am I doing something wrong? Is there some secret to unlocking this incredible experience everyone talks about? Or is it just a lot of hype and people are overstating how good these things actually are?
